Close cooperation with telc partners makes us strong and helps us continue to develop products which are fit for purpose. Language learning has come a long way since telc developed its first telc certificate in the 60s. And, telc – language tests have always kept up with the times, adding didactical and methodological details and implementing task-based test formats. Logistics and evaluation techniques have always played a major role, whether in the form of earlier punch card systems or today’s high-performance scanners. Standardised and centralised analysis ensures the quality of the telc certificates and efficient administration, as well.

telc GmbH is a subsidiary of the German Adult Education Association (DVV). By offering a certification system of its own, DVV created a unique opportunity for lifelong learning and provided proof of its achievements in education early on. The exchange with other major European test providers, particularly within the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE), gives additional momentum. In addition, we keep up with the latest trends in assessment by attending conferences and cooperating with universities.
